GASP Enterprise

Maximizing the Power of GASP — The perfect solution for getting all the information that you need...

GASP Enterprise provides all the power and functionality a large organization needs for collecting information whether the PC be located locally or on the other side of the world. The GASP Enterprise suite gives users the scalability you need to manage very large populations of systems.

Using a Microsoft SQL Server backend provides a robust and scalable database including automatic roll-up and processing of audit data.

The GASP Enterprise is designed for large organizations (250 to 100,000+ seats) with a highly complex networked structure and a variety of both local and remote environments.

GASP Audit

GASP Audit quickly and efficiently collects software and hardware information about a target system. GASP Audit makes tracking easy by automatically assigning a hardware based unique identifier to each system and providing up to 18 additional user-defined identification fields.

The Hardware Profiler™ facilitates the collection of all the hardware information you need, such as manufacturer, model, serial numbers and asset tag numbers. Collected data is then imported and processed by GASP Report for viewing, reporting and performing other management tasks.

Features:

Easy to use
intuitive user interface requires minimal technical expertise and requires no workstation installation, agents or resource draining programs.
Fast
completes most audits in minutes, the average audit takes less than 5 minutes.
Flexible
audits can be executed via USB or hard drives, during network login (with GASP Net), or via TCP/IP (with GASP eAudit).

  • Captures - environment-set variables for easy identification and location of audited systems.
  • Audits - schedules audits to occur periodically: daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc. as the administrator desires.
  • Compatible - with Windows 2003, XP, 2000, NT and NetWare

GASP Report

GASP® Report™ is a repository for the data collected by GASP Audit™, GASP Net™ and GASP eAudit™, identifies installed suites, suite components and all other applications and presents user-requested information in over 30 easy-to-read detail and summary reports.

Report provides for simple entry of software owned as well as software profiles and then automatically compares that information to installed software and present that information in views and reports. The Software Identification Database (SID), updated monthly, contains identification information for more programs than any other product on the market.

The SID, combined with our proprietary identification algorithm, enables GASP to accurately identify almost all software applications, including versions, subversions and releases.

GASP eAudit

GASP eAudit collects PC assets and software information on any remote or local Win32-based PC connected to a network supporting TCP/IP (i.e. Internet, intranet, LAN or WAN). GASP eAudit is a client/server based application which provides network managers the flexibility to centrally track and audit remote users without touching sensitive network login scripts or complicated network environments.

GASP eAudit™ (Server)

GASP eAudit is installed on a Windows 2003, 2000 or NT server from which distribution and installation of GASP eAgent and the collection of audit data is monitored and controlled. GASP eAgent can be remotely and silently installed on client systems. This then allows for remote scheduling of data collection.

GASP eAudit provides the flexibility to distribute the GASP eAgent installation in a wide variety of methods (Remote installation from within GASP eAudit Internet, intranet, email attachment or shared folder). GASP eAudit then tracks those PCs automatically. GASP eAudit also tracks audits sent and returned, alerting the user when an audit was unsuccessful or interupted by the user.

GASP eAgent™ (Client)

GASP eAgent installed on client workstations and then running as a service communicates via TCP/IP, with the GASP eAudit module to receive audit configuration and scheduling information. The audit results are then sent back to the server and recorded by GASP eAudit.
