What's Google SketchUp 6?

About seven years ago, a small team of big-thinkers set out to make 3D modeling software that anyone could use. Here are the ideas that guided them:

Good software is software you can learn. Even the most powerful tool is useless if you can't figure out how to make it work. Most people get rolling with SketchUp in a couple of hours. Video tutorials, an extensive Help Center and live training classes mean that anyone who wants to make 3D models with SketchUp, can.

Typing is a lousy way to draw. Building 3D models is tricky enough without having to think like a computer. Instead of making you input coordinates, SketchUp has an advanced guidance system of colors, lines and text hints that help you keep track of where you are and what you're doing.

No software is an island. People use software from many different companies, and they expect it all to work together. You can use SketchUp with all your favorite programs.

Hunting for tool icons is a bad idea. When it comes to user interface design, less is definitely more. SketchUp has a minimum of tools that each do a multitude of things. This makes it easier to learn, easier to use and—most importantly—easier to remember how to use.

You shouldn't need a bank loan to buy software. Truly accessible tools aren't just easy to learn—they're easy to afford.

SketchUp Licensing Options

Single-user licensing: A single-user license is assigned to a particular user. That individual can install the license on any computer he/she is using. Only one of these computers can be running SketchUp at a time, and it authorizes that individual's use only.

Network licensing: A network license is not assigned to an individual user. The software can be installed on as many computers as needed which are connected to a centralized server location. The license is stored in a shared folder and the software points to that license. The number of licenses purchased determines the number of concurrent users.

Please note - We do not support SketchUp licensing over a Wide Area Network (WAN).

Note: The software will NOT run when off the network and the licenses cannot be checked out. If a mobile license is needed, it is recommended that a single-user license be purchased.

Note: If a network license is currently installed on our server, you should contact your sales rep to add licenses rather than purchasing on line.

Academic Licensing: Schools and colleges please contact Stephen for Academic discounted pricing.
